Where can I find fuse diagram for my car? ›

To locate the fuse specification chart for your vehicle or to learn how to change a fuse, refer to the "Fuses" section of your Owner's Manual.

The cooling fan relay is located in the IPDM located in the left rear of the engine compartment.

Gently remove the plastic panel that covers them. The two blower fuses are located on the bottom-left; they are the two blue fuses rated at 15 A. The central red (10 A) fuse is for the air conditioning. Assuming that the fuses all appear to be functional, you should now turn your attention to the resistor card.

Locating a Blown Fuse

Consult your owner's manual for the exact location of each. In most cases, a diagram that shows you the position and the name of each fuse can be found inside the fuse box. This will help you locate the fuse that is related to the vehicle component that has failed.

To determine the type of blade fuses your vehicle uses, check your owner's manual for a fuse box diagram. A fuse box diagram will show you what kind of fuse goes into each slot and the exact amperage to use. If you are unable to locate a fuse box diagram, consult with your local auto mechanic.

Blown Fuse

The fuse cuts the electric supply to the component, which gets an energy surge and saves it from destruction. If this happens, rest assured that it's the case of a faulty fuse. A blown fuse shouldn't concern you too much, and changing it is inexpensive.

The most common reasons a Nissan Versa radiator fan isn't working are the fan assembly, the fan clutch, or the coolant temperature sensor.

If the cooling fan relay has failed, you may see warnings, such as the check engine light and the temperature warning light, pop up on the dash, but first, you may notice that the A/C stops cooling. More about that in the next paragraph. The check engine light illuminating may indicate a faulty cooling fan relay.

Many vehicles have two fuses for the blower motor, one in the interior fuse block and the other under the hood. The blower motor is usually under the dashboard on the passenger side.

An ECM, or Electronic Control Module, is an automotive computer module, and a direct application of battery or alternator power to the ECM module may damage the module, so the power circuit is “fused”, has a fuse in the power line.

One possible reason why your car won't start no crank is that the fuse for the ignition switch is blown. You can check the fuse by locating it in the fuse box and inspecting it for any damage or breakage.

But when someone mentions the “alternator fuse”, they're generally referring to the primary, high-amperage fuse (or fusible link) between the alternator and the battery. Like any fuse, the primary alternator fuse acts as a circuit protection device.

Overloaded Circuit

One is located under the hood and the other is found in the dashboard or near the steering wheel. The fuse under the hood protects important engine components and accessories like battery, ECU and cooling fan. The internal fuse box protects the interior cabin components, including lights, radio and powered controls.

The most straightforward is to inspect the fuse itself, where the amperage rating is typically noted on or near the top of the fuse. The second is to check the fuse diagram in the vehicle, to understand which fuse type is in each slot.
