I was honored to recently attend this year’s(and my first) Marketing Awards Ceremony hosted by the amazing UNCW Marketing Department! I am privileged to have been awarded a certificate for making the Top 10 Marketing Student list alongside 9 other remarkable women. It was inspiring to celebrate and give recognition to all the attendees, for their commitment to academic and professional excellence should not go unnoticed. I’d also like to give a special thanks to Lisa Scribner for her ongoing guidance and effort she puts into making students feel supported and included at the Cameron School of Business at UNC Wilmington.Congratulations to all my fellow recipients and I look forward to seeing what we continue to accomplish in the future!!

In the era of direct admissions, fewer highschool graduates, and information overload, it's more important than ever to have a strong brand strategy. What does that entail? Think C. Special thanks to VINCENT BENBENEK, Simon Stuchlik, and Angela Burrows for their insight on this topic! #directadmissions #branding #brandstrategy #higheredmarketing

Branding in the Post-pandemic WorldBranding and marketing, as we knew it, have changed since the Covid-19 pandemic. I recommend all management and marketing students (as well as practitioners) to review the article by Wharton marketing professorAmericus Reed (Building Your Brand in a Post-pandemic Market - Knowledge at Wharton (upenn.edu)According to Dr. Reed, “shoppers are no longer content to buy products and services based just on price, style, or convenience. They want a deeper connection with companies that align with their values.” He says emphatically, that in today’s market, “brands need to articulate their purpose and vision.... Branding is more than a logo.”Take notice all marketing and management professionals, as well as companies looking to create a BRAND for themselves.Pradeep GangulyThe Continents States University#marketing #branding #logo #management #business

Recently EdSource published new data about the difficulty of transferring from the California community college system. Over half of the students surveyed said they needed help with the transfer process. This is how brands earn poor reputations. And I say earn because reputation is built over time by making choices. Ugly logos, outdated taglines, brand colors, and misspelled social media posts don't break brands.Poor branding is a result of frustrated and indifferent end-users who are so exhausted by a brand system that they 1) don't engage or 2) advocate against it when the brand doesn't adapt. #collegebranding #collegemarketing
