Who was Otto Wood before Waterparks?
Otto was reportedly born and raised on a farm in Houston, Texas, where he still lives now. He has said that My Chemical Romance is one of his main musical influences as the alternative rock band.
Before Waterparks, he was in a band named Over 9000 with Awsten Knight and Jawn Rocha. When Over 9000 disbanded, Awsten asked Otto to join Waterparks.
When did Otto Wood join Waterparks?
Waterparks was formed in 2011 in Houston, Texas by Awsten Knight and Gage Matthieu, who met while playing in different bands. Drummer Owen Marvin later joined the band, as well as guitarist Tommy Denley, and briefly, keyboardist Tyler Comer, but they went their separate ways before the rock band's first EP, Airplane Conversations, which was released in April 2012. That EP was the only release that included Gage and Owen. Guitarist Geoff Wigington and drummer Otto Wood joined the band after their departure in 2012. Otto plays the drums and delivers backing vocals.

"Things with the band are finally going well then everyone starts finding out about our drummer and searching Otto Danielle Wood serial k1ller allegations on TikTok, it's so over for us," he wrote in one clip.
"While Otto is still on the run, if you feel like he may target you please check everywhere around your home," he shared along with a video of Otto hiding on top of a closet. "This is a video from us playing hide and seek in our Airbnb in 2018 but it shows he is willing to go the extra mile to hide."
One of the band's songs titled "Real Super Dark" also referenced the allegations. "I'll call you, beep you later," the lyrics say. "If Otto doesn't serial kill me (Otto, I'm sorry, stop)"
Is Otto Wood actually a serial killer?
Otto does share a name with a criminal and murderer from the 1930s, so upon searching his name, the outlaw comes up first. The original Otto was guilty of some dangerous crimes, including being found guilty for the murder of a man for which he spent 30 years in prison.
